We are in the middle of a pandemic and people in our community are losing jobs, losing businesses and losing their loved ones.

I have seen this first hand.

In August, after my dad died, unexpectedly, from a heart attack, immediately, our entire family lost our health insurance.

There we were- in the middle of a pandemic -alone. Vulnerable.  As I watched my mom worry about my younger siblings, it further reinforced the fact that the system which had promised us support was not there; a system that by its structure is built on profit over caring for our most vulnerable.

Together, we can do a lot at the local level. I will develop, find and create policy and infrastructure that fills the gaping holes in the system. Everyday people are simply not covered. We are vulnerable. We live in a time where there is uncertainty about COVID-19, affordable housing, social justice and climate change. By running for city council, I will be a voice for the voiceless and to build a future that starts now.

Aisha Moe is so appreciative that you would like to get involved. There are so many ways for you to help Aisha push for change, and become part of making the community a better place.
